Eric McCandless // Getty Images Dancing With the Stars was down one pro during Disney Night! The Next Pro winner Adele Zaikman told fans she’d be skipping Monday night’s show, explaining in an Instagram Stories statement that she’s sick.
“I’m sadly feeling unwell and won’t be performing in the opening number on Dancing with the Stars tomorrow,” she wrote. “I’m so sad to miss a show day, but I’ll be taking this time to take care of myself. Sending so much love to everyone on that ballroom floor. I’ll be cheering you on from home.”
Cut to The Sun , which reports that Adele’s absence “left producers and dancers racing to rework multiple performances,” with the rehearsals “becoming even more chaotic” since Adele was booked for three different dances.
“She had to drop out very last minute, so that mixed with the week already being one day shorter has been really hectic behind the scenes,” a source said. “Multiple troupe members are going to fill in for her. The opening number was the big one. The other two she just had a tiny part, so it wasn’t as big of a deal to fill. But the troupe has been practicing all Monday before showtime.”
The night ended up going off pretty flawlessly despite Adele’s absence, and she’ll presumably be back next week (when Dancing With the Stars returns in its usual Tuesday night time slot), but no confirmation just yet.
